Think of your Devaquest adventure as a means of refining your ability to commune with the divine, as well as a tool for personal and practical spiritual application.

With DevaQuest™ you will be embarking on a journey that will enhance your overall creative nature, challenge you to elevate it, and take responsibility in a way that leads you to define from the highest possible level the lesson or gift in any particular challenge. DevaQuest™ may be worked with individually, as a couple or in groups to support the process of relationship and to create meaningful communication. You can also choose specific themes to enhance the manifestation of your heart's greatest desires. The process is two fold in that it acknowledges your inherent creative ability as well as recognizing its inextricable relationship to the divine. DevaQuest™ is designed to work seamlessly with any personal spiritual practice because it is soul directed. Your higher creative nature, faith and intentions are in active service through this process. In creating your cards, it is not simply a list of things that you make up and then pick from, allowing fate to choose for you blindfolded, — “Ok, I’ll leave it up to fate because I can’t decide, therefore — eenee meanee minee moe...” It is instead an affirming path based on personal spiritual integrity, identity and trust in the higher power within.

There is great power in acknowledging our creative spirit whether we believe we have it or not. We all have and utilize creativity in some way even if we are unaware of it. To reclaim lost or hidden aspects of that power, make it our own, and use it for the best, we all must take that first step in acknowledging that we are actually creative. This concept may seem comfortable in some ways and foreign in others. We may find we need to take this first step of acknowledgment many times over and all throughout life. Affirming “I am creative” will, in time, bring us to a place of beginner's mind. From there our learned prejudices around creativity have the potential to be exposed, understood and deactivated. This allows us to recover tremendous energy and to become more whole and more of who we truly are.

You are creative. This is a statement of fact. Its not meant to be a pat on the back to rouse you to inspiration (or at this point) reverse your negative belief systems. It's a plain fact we all must recognize. If you do that's great! You are creative! Say it - “I - a m - c r e a t i v e”. Say it with gusto, sing it, chant it, shout it, whimper it if you need to. Affirm it and learn to understand its true meaning. You may feel some of the worst resistance in your life over this affirmation and the accompanying truth is you still have to —you actually must— go for it anyway! Whimpering or singing - but it's probably more fun singing! Putting true creativity into practice usually causes us to re-orient our thinking. As we acknowledge our inherent ability to create, we will begin to see proof of it at work in our lives in ways we may not have imagined possible.

Since manifestation starts with a ripple we know we are constantly creating. We do this simply through our vibrations. We all know that our thoughts, feelings and actions cause vibrations which eventually bring experiences back to us. Creativity, conscious or not, can become our ally and a means of merging with the divine. Using basic spiritual principals and techniques, DevaQuest™ gives us an opportunity to move into a more fully awakened state. From there we can make choices and create that which supports joy and fullness in our lives. We can choose to integrate the shadow and embrace it as we shine the warm light of our inner sun and receive insights through the reflective qualities of our inner moon. DevaQuest™ is designed to work at that juncture where light and shadow are playing; where who we are and who we are not meet. It is in the laboratory of our inner landscape, through active, sacred and creative play, that we are perfectly poised to learn more about ourselves and engage our true creative nature with purpose and integrity.

Creativity is awesome in its potential and underscores the fact that we are responsible and accountable in the most amazing ways. In all the years I have been professionally creative, I have always found the benefits to outweigh any of my worries or concerns about what I am creating and how I am doing it. For years people have asked me about my process as an artist and how I do what I do. People often portray it as being more out of their grasp than mine. I have never believed that to be true. In my desire to share the mystical qualities of my creative process and flow, DevaQuest™ was born. Experience leads me to believe that this tool and others like it have the potential to help reveal the essence of our true path. I believe the divine works with everyone on an equal basis even if we don’t think we see evidence of it.

I really love describing DevaQuest as a low tech tool that is powered by spiritual technology. The spiritual technology that powers DevaQuest™ is part of you - your inborn native intelligence - the connecting point for all that is. I like to call that place of connectedness the living web of love and light. It could be described as the field of higher consciousness where everything is perfectly aware of everything else. The universe is alive with that intelligence and we are blessed to be an integral part of that great beingness.
