DREAMING DEVA™ was founded by me, Leslie Montana, on April first in the year 2000. Much to my surprise, and maybe as a fun-loving kind of jest, my muse brought this name to me on April Fools day. Very funny! Since then I've come to believe this holiday is of ancient pagan origin, and associated with the tarot card, the Fool. April first, April Fools day, is about celebrating and following one’s inner knowing with trust, and a certain kind of abandon, even if it doesn't make sense to those around you. This interesting coincidence, the birth of Dreaming Deva and its odd and mystical naming, caused me to think twice, and then again, and really wonder... Spirit was clearly nudging me to create something new and was moving things along with a sense of humor. It's always entertaining to me as these things are born into corporeal life. I wasn't sure what would come next but in the days, months and years to come, an organized plan unfolded as it all became a tangible reality. MISSION: Based on honoring nature, Dreaming Deva’s mission includes offering earth friendly products, green wisdom, and services that support the action of dreaming our lives into being - in conscious, real and wonderful ways. In harmony with Mother Nature, and in harmony with our true nature. — Dreaming refers to consciously creating one’s own reality using an awake type of active imagination. Something like lucid dreaming with eyes open. For me a Deva is simply a nature spirit. Part of the energy consciousness that tends the health of the earth in all its forms including us. A kind of divine bridge between worlds.
